GSW: Finale at Oracle

Tribute to 47 Seasons
The Golden State Warriors typically reserve their last regular season home game for Fan Night, however, during the 2018-2019 season, we did things a little different. With this season marking the end of the team’s run at Oracle, we elevated Fan Night to the Finale at Oracle, bringing a close to our Celebrate 47 campaign before heading into the playoffs.

There was a huge party on the plaza where fans could sign a piece of our 2015 Championship Court (that would later be hung up at Chase Center), as well as multiple photo ops in front of custom GSW finale artwork. The arena seats were covered with Finale at Oracle t-shirts to commemorate the night in partnership with Adobe and Oaklandish. There were even GSW Legends from all 5 decades in attendance, including Rick Barry (70s), Eric ‘Sleepy’ Floyd (80s), Chris Mullin (90s), Jason Richardson (00s), and Maurice Speights (10s). The team took the court in surprise, throwback “We Believe” jerseys and the Oakland Symphony played the National Anthem. Once the game ended (which we won), Coach Kerr took the floor to address the fans with a heartfelt speech and help us hang up our 47 Seasons retirement banner.

It was a night filled with many emotions that fans, staff, and players wore on their sleeves. Grown men were brought to tears as they said farewell to an amazing 47 seasons at Oracle and players sat in the seats of the building to soak in the history and growth they’d been a part of over the years. It was a special night and we did right by the team, the fans, and The Bay.
